6:30pm Sunsets

Having lived our whole lives on the East coast, we had rarely seen the sun setting behind the ocean. It wasn’t until we were living in our little sea side shack in Manglaralto, Ecuador when we experienced the fiery skies and warm colours that would close the day.

We would walk down to the waters edge fully equipped with mosquito coils and hula hoops to give praise to the day that had just passed. It was our way to stop and appreciate what we had experienced and bask in the present moment.

Every evening; 6:30pm on the dot, the sun would touch the waters edge and slowly immerse itself; as though the sun was determined to give us one last show before surrendering itself to the nights sky.
