When Jessie and I were in Quito, Ecuador discussing our action plan for sourcing material in the highlands, we were met by the most free spirited, creative and loving person who never failed to carry a pair of drumsticks everywhere he went; Audie. He would sweep us away with his dreams of jamming in every epic location in the world. All day every day you’d hear the familiar sounds of his constant tapping, slapping, banging and drumming on any surface he can get his hands on. Drumming is his life, and there is not a single fibre in his being that tells him otherwise. It wasn’t a surprise that when we told him of our own new found dreams of Wolftress, that we would spend hours and hours brainstorming ideas and adventures together. Two years later, his dream has started and JamQwest is born.

What does JamQwest mean to you?

Everything. JamQwest has become a way in which I can express my art and allow my creativity to flow. I feel like JamQwest is a vessel that will allow me to ride the waves of life, hopefully sprinkling inspiration and joy on those who ride the vessel with me.

What inspired JamQwest?

Jamqwest was originally written in my journal along with the words pipe dream. The idea came while trying to find a way to combine my two passions in life- extreme adventure and music. I feel like my creativity on the drums is able to flow much more freely in nature and I become more in tune with my surroundings which I think reflects in the sounds coming from my drums. As I was dragging my drums around it hit me that this is an experience that I need to share with people. So why not do something extreme, and film it.

Describe your pack.

We are a tribe of hi vibing, creative, freestyle humans. I love being surrounded by such incredible artists with so much talent. We’ve been naturally attracting incredibly  talented people, from rappers to DJs to hoopers, fire spinners, dancers, musicians. Our goal for our next video/qwest is to showcase the talents of all the individuals who have combined to form the jamqwest pack.

In three words describe your inner Wolftress spirit

Inspired, bangerangtastic, free

What’s your passion?

Life is passion. I feel like passion is what fuels my journies in life. “Always follow your passions, never ask if its realistic or not” deepak.  If our priority is passion in life, no matter what the passion then I think the path will lead one to a highest existence

Are you living the dream? What is the dream?

I love watching the world unfold as my dreams become my reality. Its fun to look back on stuff I talked about a year ago and realize, holy shit! I’m living that idea right now! I think the dream for me is to create my art, share it with people and be surrounded by amazing people and challenging adventures.

The world would be a better place if only…

People wake up! I can see it happening but we need to expand our conscience as a whole. Realize that we’re all in this together and that the mama earth is our home and she needs to be nurtured, loved and respected just as we all do. We as humans have the potential to thrive. I think its important for everyone to give themselves the time to realize what their place is in this world so that we can all shine to our fullest potential. “Don’t ask yourself what the world needs, ask yourself what makes you come alive. And go do that. Because what the world needs is more people who have come alive.”
